On previous releases, the IDE Insight was a modal dialog, which could be accessed by pressing F6 or Ctrl+. and provided a way to access all commands in the IDE.
There are several problems with this approach:
- Modal dialogs disrupt your activity and sit just in the middle of the screen
- When filtering, it provides a huge list of actions (by default) and you have to scroll through them
- It’s not very easy to find for new users, as it’s hidden in a menu and it’s not very straightforward
So we came up with a solution we think it’s better:
On the top left of the IDE, you can find a search input, when you type something inside, you will get a drop down list, with the options matching your search string, and this fixes the issues exposed before:
- It doesn’t affects your activity as it’s a drop-down menu on the top right of the screen, and even is a bit transparent
- It provides, at most, 7 results per category, so you see most of what you want to find at a glance
- It doesn’t use a new line to show the category where the items belong to, so you get more vertical space
- It’s present at all times, so new customers know how to find it

Command item ‘All’ on screenshot are not so much descriptive name have. You must make there are long version of names or use gray path like in settings – ‘All (Align)’
This ‘All’ not a single command need this, it only one on Your screenshot.
Yes, you are right, we could show the action hint at the right, please, post your suggestion to QC.
Jose Leon, yo soy nuevo en esto, pero podrias iniciar con un tutorial pequeño para poder usar algo asi como TemplateFilename en radphp, solo es sugerencia.
Saludos y gracias.
